Today is World Aids Day. I'm not a person who gets preachy about causes. I usually go about contributing in my own little way wherever I am able to, ensuring I'm not doing so in a self righteous manner. There are a few causes that are especially close to my heart. Breast cancer awareness, Aids awareness, Animal rights and Eradication of cruelty towards animals . At times, I'm not sure how much it helps the cause, but even a simple click of a button online, a pledge or some monetary assistance makes me feel good and gives me satisfaction in knowing I have done my bit of contribution. big or small. I'll be wearing my ribbon today! :)
In 2001, 2.5 million estimated people were living with HIV. Currently, in 2010, around 2.4 million estimated people are living with HIV. hence, registering a 50% decline in HIV/AIDS cases in a decade. :)
